William Edward Lux II passed away from complications of Parkinson's disease on October 24th, 2017. He was born in Chicago on February 28, 1935 to Vera (Miller) and William Edward Lux. William grew up in Chicago and started his own auto body repair shop. In 1978, he moved his business to Fort Atkinson where he purchased a bar and campground on Blackhawk Island along the Rock River. This became a very well established spot known as the Riverfront Resort. He continued to fix cars and do what he loved most, which was managing his bar and campground with his wife Rosielee. Over the years many people stayed the summer at his campground and enjoyed the fun times at the bar. A lot of long term friendships where made with the many campers who looked forward to spending their summers camping at Riverfront Resort. He was the life of the party and he always guaranteed a good time! He loved to go boating and ride his Harley. He also loved spending time at the casino in Elgin. He was a wheeler dealer businessman always looking for a bargain to make a buck.. William was preceded in death by his wife Rosielee, his parents and daughter Rosieann. He is survived by his son William (Gina) Stanger of Madison and daughter Susan Kordosky of Stevens Point, Derek (Jaci) Belgum, grandson, of Ladysmith and their children, Hayleigh, Freddy, and Naomi. A celebration of life will be held December 2nd at his former bar which is now known as Island Bar and Grill at W7545 Blackhawk Island Road, Fort Atkinson WI. The celebration will be from 12am-5pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
