Theresa “Terri” LaFear, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at The Willows Nursing Home in Sun Prairie. She was born on April 25, 1965 in Madison and was the daughter of Gerald and Kathleen (Wipperfurth) Hoffman. She graduated from DeForest High School in 1983. She married William LaFear on November 3, 1990 in Reno, NV. Terri was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She began her transportation career driving semi-truck cross country with her husband. When Tara was born she transferred her love of driving to the school bus industry. Terri was a trainer at First Student in Deforest and then at Kobussen in Sun Prairie, in addition to her driving responsibilities.
She is survived by her husband William; 3 children, Tara, Hunter and Shelby; her mother Kathleen of Stoughton; 2 brothers, Tom (Denise) Hoffman of Madison, Pat (Denise) Hoffman of Minnesota; 4 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother Tim and grandparents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Bristol Lutheran Church, 6835 Hwy N in Sun Prairie. Pastor Rick Reiten will preside. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family. Our Family would like to extend a special thanks to Kris Dreifurst for her support, and Dr. Amy Stella for her caring and compassion.
