Susan E. Grindle, age 67, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at her home in Mt. Horeb, with her family by her side, due to complications of kidney disease. She was born to Clark and Evelyn (Hughey) Davis on July 29, 1949 at home, in Verona. She married Allen A. Grindle on March 4, 1967 at Verona Baptist Church. Susan worked as an underwriter at WPS for many years.
She is survived by her husband Allen Grindle of Mt Horeb; 2 children, Michael A. Grindle of Madison, and Michelle Sue Grindle of Sun Prairie; grandson Joshua Allen Grindle of Sun Prairie; father-in-law Arthur Grindle of Mt. Horeb; brother James Davis of Oregon; sisters Barbara Hodgson of Grand Rapids MI, Betty (Dwight) Sweeney of DeForest, and Carolyn (Tom) Davis of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Clark and Evelyn Davis; mother-in-law Marion Grindle; sisters Marjorie Davis, LouAnne Dahlk, and Diane Steiner.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Primrose Lutheran Church, 8770 Ridge Drive in Belleville, Nicole Espe will preside. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Ryan Funeral Home, 220 Enterprise Drive in Verona. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their care and compassion.
