Stanley J. Hess, age 64 passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. He was born on December 1, 1947 in Richland Center and was the son of John and Margaret (Brey) Hess. He graduated from River Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Stan went to Fennimore to study mechanics after Vietnam. He then worked at Wentworth (Stark) Motors for most of his life. He loved working on motors and was a great handyman. He married Barbara McCusker in 1999.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barb; a stepson Ryan Henke, 4 brothers, Donald (Sandi), LaVerne (Ellen), John (Norma), Ronnie; 5 sisters, Janet (Jim) B, Connie (Greg) Wollin. Mary Anne, Barb (Steve), Monica (Jeff) Schultz o and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles George and Rita Bray and Catherine
.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife Pamela Ellner in 1996; a brother Ralphie and a sister JoAnne.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Jim McCusker, Lay Minister will preside. Burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens where graveside military rites will be held. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.
