It has been more than 50 years that I last saw Shirley ,Dale and Carol, I was fortunate to see Rodney a few years back when he was with my brother Don and some of their friends in Jackson.I have often thought of our days on State street and Ganson st. Just know I am thinking of you in this time of sorrow.

Shirley was a dear friend , classmate and fellow class officer. We had many memories from those days and great times on State St and in high school. She never lost her sense of humor no matter how hard her life was and she will always be remembered and missed. Praying for the family and am so sorry for your loss.s

We are so sad to hear of the passing of our dear sister & friend, Shirley!! When I first met her six years ago, we felt a unique connection. She was so full of life & had such a wonderfully, dry sense of humor! She was quietly there for me during my difficult health times & so very supportive for anyone who needed a kind word or caring concern in their life! Both skip and I will dearly miss her and know she's in a better place! Our prayers are with her family!!!

Before we physically met, our lives were intertwined.
Shirley was a teacher in many ways to many people, but my mother was actually one of her students! This relationship lead to Shirley meeting my grandmother.
The two became great friends.
Much of my youth includes memories of Shirley. My siblings and I called her "Aunt Shirley". She was part of our holidays and vacations, good times, bad times, etc. She WAS family.
I will always hold her in my heart.
I am glad she is a part of the account of my life.
(I love you.)

Shirley was my 7th and 8th grade teacher at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Adrian, Michigan. She also lived up the street from my family's home. We became friends and I visited her many times when she lived in Wisconsin. It was always a wonderful time. She taught us how to play cribbage. I always loved hearing from her at my birthday and at Christmas. I am sad to hear of her passing and I will miss her.
