Scott Alan Kittle, age 43, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. He was born in Portage on July 7, 1968, the son of Silas and Marilyn (Ferguson) Kittle. He graduated in 1987 from Sun Prairie High School.
He married Heidi Mellom on October 12, 1991 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. He was member of the US Army and American Legion Post #333.
Scott was injured in a work-related accident in 1997, and became a paraplegic as a result of the accident. He continued enjoying square dancing and camping. Survivors include his wife Heidi; daughters, Pamela and Kelly; parents, Silas and Marilyn; mother-in-law, Virginia Mellom; 2 sisters, Terri (Bob) Smith all of Sun Prairie; Connie (Jim) Guyll, of Bentonville, Arkansas; brother-in-law, David Lust of Brooklyn, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mandy Lust, father-in-law, Marvin Mellom, and his grandparents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Sacred Hearts Catholic of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Cemetery where graveside military rites will be held. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Scott's Family.
