Robert L. Wolf, age 72, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born in Madison on February 18, 1944 and was the son of Clayton and Mildred (Pemberton) Wolf. He married Nancy Hanley on February 27, 1965 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Sun Prairie.
Robert owned and operated a Mink Ranch. He participated in the Sesquicentennial Coachmen's Drive from Madison to Prairie du Chien in 1998. He loved his horses, and for many years participated in the Villa Louis Carriage Show in Prairie du Chien. Robert won an unprecedented write in candidacy to win a seat on the first city council to serve the newly incorporated city of Fitchburg. Through his efforts Fitchburg became the first city in the State to have a mandatory household recycling program. After retiring, Bob enjoyed his hobbies of woodworking, gardening, and raising chickens. Bob had a great love for nature.
Robert is survived by his wife Nancy; 1 sister Jane (Kevin) Murphy of New Denver, British Columbia; 3 Children Brenda (Michael) Czarnik of St. Paul, MN; Heidi (Mark) Williams of Fitchburg, Tobias (Jennifer) Wolf of Onalaska; grandchildren, Justis, Liberty, Honor, and Hero Czarnik, and Jack and Charlotte Wolf; brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and mother-in-law Ruth Hanley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. Williams Catholic Church, 1371 County Rd. PB in Paoli. Father William Vernon will preside. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Monday. Burial will be held in Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie. Special thanks Dr. Gervais, Dr. Stella at U.W.
