My father, Jerry Reininger, loved going down to "Toot's" in his later years to shoot the breeze with the boys down there. My father lost his vision with age, and it meant so much to him to gather and have a laugh and conversation with all the day patrons at Toot's. He used to say to us he was "going to work" when he headed downtown. (He was the Barber downtown). My deepest sympathy to your family, and know he certainly helped my father enjoy many a laugh and good times. Jan (Reininger) Henrikson

Uncle Toot was a special man. I loved visiting him and his family. When I married their nephew, they welcomed me with open arms. I have fond memories of going to Briggsville with him and Aunt Barb and having a wonderful time. He and his family were good to my children's father, Ted and it did not go unnoticed by me. I only wished I could have spent more time in Wisconsin visiting with him an the ret of the family and that my children had gotten to know him. Toot and Barb built a family that they can be proud of and one that should be a role model for the generations to come. It is sad to lose someone so young and one who's family will feel a large whole that can never be totally filled because he was so special and irreplaceable.... one of a kind. Sophia

To the family of Toot.. This is a hard one for me to swallow, as the same illness that claimed Toot also took my little(younger brother Randy(Rino) as he was called. When I first heard of Toots illness, was when I called up the house to see how all were doing and Barbara Ann ,told me they had just gotten the results of some test Toot had done. I was so taken back that I had a hard time not to just curse the worst news I have ever heard. I would keep checking in with Barb and Toot and Julie and I made a visit, and Toot as he always was ,upbeat and said well, it is what it is and we will go forward..I will kick myself many times for not making more visits. I will always be grateful to the times when I bunked at Toot and Barb's South street home after the late nights of bowling or fastpitch games, I have many memories ,too numerous to mention here , and I will always consider Toot as one of my Bro's Sincerely and with deep sympathy . Bob
