Doc was a good man. We always looked forward to his visits and loved hearing his stories. He is still very much in our hearts and thoughts. Love him so much.

Dearest Aunt Shirley and family, i wanted you to know that you are all in my thoughts and heart!! Uncle Bob was truly a compassionate, strong, loving man that we all were lucky and fortunate to have been part of our lives!! Even though i haven't had much time in my adult life to spend with you, my memories of him are of a man of great respect, a very kind heart, intelligent, and a great sense of humor. He will be missed tremendously!!!! I know he is in a much better place now that God wanted his angel back and without a doubt is with family that has gone before him. He will be there for all of you with his arms open, welcoming you all when God calls all of you home!!! He definately lived life like a true christian and is being rewarded now for his devotion to his family and God!! Love and peace to all of you!! Cousin Mary Ellen

I am sorry for your loss. Dr. Sartori saved my cat's life in 2007. Toby is now a healthy 8 years old and much loved. I will always be grateful to Dr. Sartori.

I just wanted to thank the man who took so much care about the things we loved the most. When Doc cared for our animals I always got the sense he was really caring for us human beings. Condolences to the family Thank you DOC, RIP

So sorry to hear about "Doc" -- oddly enough I never thought of him as Robert --only the comfortable "Doc" ..I can't imagen the incredible number of family pets, farm animals --and families whose hearts he touched... he was an amazing man. If indeed heaven is as I hope -- he will be overwhelmed with the love he shared on earth...I remember his tearful eye as he had to help our poodles Chadwick and Tuppence --- pass into their deaths...he knew the pain-- of saying goodbye. And the skill of reassurance for doing the "right and only fair thing" when the odds were stacked against the pets and our families. Our love and thanks to the family for moving to Sun Prairie and sharing the endless hours of "Doc's: love and talents with so many pets, farm animals and familes !(He never knew of closing hours -- when there was a need he was ALWAYS there for us -- and no doubt so many others ! ) Again, our love and prayers ---. I always enjoyed talking and listening to Doc's stories at our KC meetings. He was a very friendly, intelligent man who also was the person who encouraged me to join the KCs.

We want to share our great sadness at Doc's passing and send our condolences to his wonderful family. He embodied wisdom and moral fortitude wrapped up in good humour with a hardy laugh. The church will be packed, but there is not a church that would hold all the people whose lives he touched. With love, Leah, JG and family

I didn't know you, Mr. Sartori, but I have the greatest pleasure of knowing your wonderful daughter, Mary. Mary has shared so many happy memories of you with me and I am very grateful that she is my friend. Your warmth, humor and goodness continues on in the thoughtful children you have raised. Rest in peace.

I share my thoughts and prayers with the family of Doc Sartori. His legacy remians with the loving family that he leaves here on earth. What a strong, loving and caring man! I feel privileged to have known him; in so many ways I have hoped to emulate his dedication, strength and focus for those in whom he believed and for whom he loved.

Rest in Peace my friend. I only wish I would have known you years ago. You are in safe hands now dear. Your family is so special and I know how proud of them you were as we talked about all of them.
Joe Hanneman left a message on July 28, 2013:
Doc not only took good care of generations of Hanneman family pets, but was a good friend to our family for more than 40 years. I will never forget the sight of Doc in his Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree honor guard regalia at my Dad's funeral in April 2007. And although I've seen him a number of times since that day, that is my favorite memory of Doc Sartori. I wish I could be there to return the respect as part of your Fourth Degree honor guard. May God bless you in Eternity. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, And let your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

My deepest sympathies go to Aunt Shirley, and the family. Uncle Bob will be missed but the impressions he left behind are special lessons for the many people he touched in this life, including me. We feel our loss yet we know in our hearts it is Uncle Bob's gain to be with our Lord now. My heart goes out to you, though I can only offer a few thoughts. I can't remember the exact verse, but it comes to mind now - I think it's from one of the Gospels. "Jesus said...Well done my good and faithful servant." Could Robert be hearing those words now? yup...but I'm sure he's got a thing or two to tell the angels, too. :) You came from afar for Bob & Shirley's 60th Wedding Anniversary. Now, in reflection we appreciate the life he lived. Return home safely, and I wish you peace. God Bless, cousin Patty Mieden
Mary Holzem buege left a message on July 26, 2013:
Doc Sartori took care of all the critters at the Holzem house when I was a kid. He even made a house call or two. He always had time to explain medical stuff to me so I understood what was going on with our dogs. I was a kid that found animals to be wonderful friends, and I think he sensed that about me. I haven't lived in Sun Prairie for years, and I have finally found a vet here in Appleton that I have the same kind of relationship with! Vets like Doc are few and far between these days. Your family has my deepest condolences, I will remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers! Sincerely, Mary Holzem Buege Appleton, WI
