Rita D. Drunasky, age 91, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Amanda's Care Home, Mesa, Arizona.
Rita was born on March 2, 1921 in Deansville, Wisconsin to her parents Bernard and Josephine (Fullert) Duschack.
Rita married Robert E. Drunasky on September 2, 1939 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. They were married for 67 years. They farmed in Sun Prairie for many years where they raised five daughters. She worked at Wisconsin Porcelain, Welch's Embers, Herremans and was one of the first woman bus drivers and drove for Legler Bus Company. Later they owned and operated D & L Bus and Transfer Lines. Rita retired after 35 years of driving school bus. Rita was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, the Historical Society & Homemakers Club, Sun Prairie Garden Club and a 4-H Leader. She also enjoyed sewing and ceramics and took pride in gardening of all her lovely flowers.
Rita truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores (Thomas) Baldauf of Mesa, AZ, Gail (David) Fitzgerald of Neshkoro , and Deanna Lynn Drunasky of Mesa, AZ. Grandchildren, Dawn (Aaron) Anderson, Henderson, NV, Alicia Baldauf, Mesa, AZ, Todd (Jill) Skolaski, Evansville, , Robert Durst, Bristol, and Teckla Adams, Mesa, AZ along with many others.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Lois A. Skolaski and Carol J. Feiler and a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. A private burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie.
The family has requested no flowers for this service.
