On January 30, 2024, Reuben John Hoppman, age 58, completed his journey here with us, surrounded by his wife and closest loved ones at home after a seven-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Reuben lived a full and humble life, and he will be forever remembered and deeply missed. Reuben is survived by: his loving wife, Karen Riggi-Hoppman; six children, Jenna (Joe) Kenyon, Trent (Alexys) Hoppman, Tiffany (Rick) Galbraith, Trichelle Hoppman (Cory Robl), Reuben (Kelly) Hoppman, Jr., Jacob Riggi; nine grandchildren, Dawson, Drake, Dylan, Brandon, Zoe, Kaymen, Aleah, Natalie, Kendall; six siblings, Pam (Pete) Brandt, Patti Gersbach (Jim Timbers), Jeff (Carrie) Hoppman, Jim (Glenda) Hoppman, Barb (Steve) Beloungy, Dale (Arlyn) Hoppman; several nieces and nephews; his in-laws, Marilyn and Randy Brown; his dogs, Luna, Skip, and Rem; and countless family and friends. Reuben is preceded in death by: his parents, Jack and Ruth Hoppman; son, Jonathan Lamkin; and brother-in-law, Mark Derlein.
A Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie. Pastor Kent Van Horn will preside over a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Following the service, a Legacy Celebration for Reuben will be held at Nitty Gritty at 315 E Linnerud Dr. in Sun Prairie. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family may be made in Reuben’s honor.
