Randi L. (Remus) Rice, age 60 passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born in Fort Atkinson on May 21, 1957 and was the daughter of Shirley and Ed Remus. She attended school at Sun Prairie and graduated in 1975. Randi retired from American Family Insurance in 2011 she also worked part time at Perkins restaurant and most recently Piggly Wiggly in Cottage Grove.
Randi enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie Rice of Sun Prairie; Angela's father Rick Rice; a sister Debra Adams of Madison; a brother Bob Remus of Phoenix, AZ; aunt and uncle, Donna and Robert Girard, Mequon and her only two cousins:Gary (Karen Scharnik) Girard, Steve (Alounna) Girard her special friend Dan Brewer of Monona and many special nieces and nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her brother Rick, father-in-law Carroll Rice and sister-in-law Nancy Rice.
A Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. A luncheon will follow at Double Days in Cottage Grove. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family.. I only had the pleasure of meeting your mother a few times.. but she was always friendly and out going. She was an important part of my brother's life and made him happy.
I just had breakfast with her on Easter Sunday along with Dan and our Mother.
Randi was in such good spirits that day, so to hear the news of her passing only five days later, I can't begin to tell her how shocked and saddened I was.
I know Dan cared about her dearly, and my heart goes out to him as well. I hope all your the cherished memories and knowing how much she loved you helps you get through this difficult time.
