Pearl O. Davidson, age 93, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Columbus Nursing Home. She was born in Waukon, Iowa on March 27, 1918 and was the daughter of Andrew and Clara (Skaim) Anderson. She married Irving Davidson on September 17, 1949 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. Pearl was a member of the American Legion Post #333 Auxiliary. She took great pride in selling poppies to raise money for the veterans. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with family.
She is survived by her children, Diane Baldwin of Eugene, Oregon, Gary (Barb) of Columbus, Alan (Cam) of Barron; 6 grandchildren, Kristin (Kevin), Casey (Jessica), Erin (Bryan), Ian, Bethany and Joshua; 6 sisters, Louise VanderSanden of Sun Prairie, Arlene Hogenson of Decorah, IA, Ellen (Arland) Brown of Mabel, MN, Lorraine (Roger) Nolden of Sun Prairie, Verna (Willard) Hanson of Decorah, IA, Gladys (Larry) Hageman of Cresco, IA; 4 sisters-in-law, Gloria (Leo) Bartlett, Donna Anderson, Beulah (Donald) Gallagher all of Sun Prairie, Dorothy Pederson of DeForest and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 5 brothers, Arnold, Clarence, Leonard, Rueben and Orval and a sister, Florence Wilmot.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at SPRING PRAIRIE LUTHERAN CHURCH, Keyeser on Saturday, February 4, 2012 with Pastor Sylvia Lee-Thompson presiding. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church Building Fund. The family would like to thank the Columbus Nursing home for their kindness and care.
