Paul R. Skalitzky, age 85, died on Thursday, April 06, 2023 at the Madison Veteran’s Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1937 in Milwaukee to Paul and Meta (Kroncke) Skalitzky. Paul married Carolyn Buttke at Sacred Hearts on June 8, 1968 until her passing in 1988. He later married Jean Cato.

Paul was an Army-Air Force Veteran, serving from 1956-1959. He worked for many years as a general contractor and handyman. Paul was a member of Sacred Hearts and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Cato; daughters Ann (Dan) Stifter and Jean (Gary) Dobson; step-daughter Angela (Jeremy) Winge; six grandchildren, Josephine Stifter, Marcella (Alex) Rogers, Calvin Dobson, Madeline (Grant) Pleiss, Logan and Dylan Winge; and great-granddaughter Blakelynn.

Paul is preceded in death by: his wife Carolyn, parents and 5 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 229 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
