Patricia “Pat” Kennedy, age 71, entered God's loving arms on Friday, March 16, 2018, due to complications of cancer. She was born on December 21, 1946 to Alessio and Mary (Mizia) Salerno in Chicago, IL. Pat married her beloved husband and best friend Jack on December 24, 1968 in Chicago, IL.
Pat was a loving caring person who provided great support, love and wisdom to her family and clients of The MARC-East Center, where she was a skills teacher for 40 years. Patricia was also an avid volunteer at the Special Olympics. She brought great joy to those that had the opportunity to share in her life and discover her love.
She is survived by her husband Jack; son Michael (Deanna Detter) of Lake Mills; daughter Trisha Peck of CA; 4 grandchildren Colleen, Karissa and Michaela Kennedy, Guliano Giuntoli; 2 great-grandchildren; her loving sister Barbara Serpico of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Father Savio Yerasani will preside. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Friday. As Pat would frequently say, “everything happens for a reason”. We love you and bless you on your journey home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Pat's name to MARC EAST Center, Madison.
