Patricia A. Kranz, age 56, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Pat was born on Aug. 14, 1956 to Victor and Bonnie (Pirkl) Weisensel. She married Robert Kranz on Jan. 24, 1976 and had three daughters. Pat's greatest joy in life was her family, and she was very active in her husband and daughter's lives. She enjoyed her photography business, gardening, and most of all spending time with her eight grandchildren. Pat is survived by her loving husband Robert, three daughters Jenny (Rob) Baerwolf of Sun Prairie, Kate (Mike) McCaffery of Rio, and Courtney (Jeff) Warmka of Columbus, her mother Bonnie (Bernie) Pirkl-Lessner of Baraboo, sister Vicki Thomas of Gulf Breeze, FL, brothers Kevin Weisensel of Sun Prairie and Tim Weisensel of Poynette, eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Victor Weisensel; father-in-law, Elmer Kranz, and mother-in-laws, Catherine Kranz and Betty Kranz.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol with Father Rob Butz presiding. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., in Sun Prairie. The family would like to thank Homeland Hospice and Hilda for her devoted care in Pat's final weeks; and the neighbors and friends that offered continued support throughout her battle. Nana, you will live on in our memories and our hearts. We love you and miss you, and know you will be watching over us.
