Sun Prairie
Patricia Ann Anders, age 83 of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin died peacefully on July 10, 2016, surrounded by family at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, WI.
Pat was born April 13, 1933 to Lyle and Vera Curry in Waukesha, WI. She graduated from Waukesha High School in 1951 and married her high school sweetheart Ivan Anders that same year. They wed at the Mission of San Juan Capistrano, California and shared 63 years together. They raised 5 children and lived in various parts of southern WI, but resided for the majority of their lives in Sun Prairie.
Throughout the years, Pat stayed very busy being a stay at home mother to her children. She also enjoyed travel, sewing, playing golf, crafting, animals and flowers. Her main love other than her husband was family- her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren- who in turn loved her back. She was very generous with her time and talent, especially during the holidays where she would put together fun and thoughtful gifts for her family to enjoy.
Pat will be missed by her children Steve (Sheryl) of Cottage Grove; Cathy Kabat (Tom) of Manitowoc; Deb Turnell (Stephen Edmundson); Scott (Jean) of Flower Mound, TX and Stuart (Barb) of Sun Prairie. Her family also includes 13 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan, her parents, her sister Betty Leeder and her son in law Jon Turnell.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the home of Stuart and Barb Anders in Sun Prairie, WI on Friday August 12 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry or Agrace Hospice. The family would also like to thank the staff at Oak Park Place, and the kindness and comfort given to our mother at Agrace Hospice.
