Syed Ulghani left a message on September 19, 2021:
I worked briefly with Norman representing Hewlett Packard implementing Herds Management System for Al-Safi where Norman was the System's Manager. May he rest in Peace. He was a great soul. I don't know how but I just thought of looking him up last night and learned of his sad demise. I knew him to be an extremely physically fit person when he visited my offices in Dubai, way back in 80s, and remember that he used to run 6-8 miles in the morning daily. Miss you and may Almighty be please with you. Syed.

I first met Norman when I was a participant in the MVP course 2008. He was always inspiring when he spoke about the Philippines-especially the fruits and vegetables he encouraged us to seek out at the local wet markets and try them! My condolences to Robert and Norman's family. Norm will be missed by many friends along with you.

I first met Norm in the MVP Philippine History course in 2006. I was new to Manila and he was one of the module leaders. He was very inspirational and really sparked my interest in Philippine history. Over the next 5 years I remained involved in the history course, first as a student and then as a module leader. Norm was always there, keeping the equipment running, giving lectures and organizing tours. He was such a kind hearted and generous man, generous with his time and his knowledge. We left the Philippines in 2011 for Hong Kong and then on to Shanghai. Norm will always be a central figure in my happy memories from Manila. We will miss him very much. My sincere condolences to his family.
ROY RUSSEL ROMANO left a message on January 28, 2013:
I worked with Norm way back in 1991 at Al Safi Dairy in Saudi Arabia. I was fresh from the university in the Philippines and starting out as an Analyst Programmer. I remember him as a very dedicated and friendly person. He is a mentor and a friend. I learned a lot from him. I only knew accidentaly this January 2013 that he stayed in the Philippines. I was searching Al Safi in Google and tried some links which landed me to his Google+ account page. I've been trying to find a way to contact him and had sent a couple of emails to his last known email address. If I've known years before that he was here, we could have catch up. To my friend and mentor Norm, I never forget you. You will always be remembered in my heart. My prayers are with you. Roy Russel Romano Manila, Philippines
