Dear NIla, Thanks for starting Calvary Baptist Church in Sun Prairie. This was the birthplace of my relationship with Jesus. You always were so nice to me and my children. I know you prayed for me since I was a teenager. You worked at Calvary Baptist Christian School for years with my mother Beverly Bliss. I remember one day mom took me over to your house on Sunfield St., one of the batteries in one of the smoke alarms was beeping. It took us forever to figure out where it was. We laughed so hard. For the last couple of years, if I ever wanted to find Mom on a Friday night I knew she was with you and Mary Jo somewhere having dinner. Thanks for being a friend to my mother. Sincerely, Love, Peggy Bliss

Our dear friend Nila will be missed. The Lord led she and her husband, Red, to hold a Bible study in their home which was the beginning of Calvary Baptist Church. We were blessed when we moved to Sun Prairie in 1968 there was a church established for us to attend. We are thankful for her friendship and the many years we served together at the church and school. Looking forward to heaven when we will be together again.

Nila, Thank you Nila for your wonderful friendship! We will miss you tremendously. You were so kind and thoughtful all the time. I will miss the pistachio salad that always welcomed me, when you knew we were coming. We are thankful also for the many lives you touched during your years at CBCS. Welcome home to your inheritance! We keep praying and watching for the Lord to come soon, so we can join you. We love you and we will miss you. Carlton & Judy Shull Branson, MO

We would like to extend our sympathy to her family. In this time of sorrow may you see God in the faces of friends, hear Him in their voices, feel Him in the touch of their hands. Nila was what a Christian should be. She was a loving, generous person. We are so thankful God allowed her to live and celebrate CBC's 50th anniversary. We will miss her and the telephone calls.

What sweet memories we have of Nila! Nila and Red always welcomed us into their home even on long weekends after we moved to Owatonna from Sun Prairie. Our children enjoyed coming to the farm and "Aunt" Nila always had ice cream and baked goodies. Nila had such a sweet, caring spirit and I so enjoyed our visits and friendship all these years. I also have enjoyed the long phone visits in the past few years. I know we will see Nila again in heaven!

I will miss you Nila. You have been a part of my life from the day I was born. I always loved coming to the farm. There was never a time when you were too busy and there were so many friends and memories formed around your kitchen table. I know when you opened your eyes this morning, you were in the presence of the Lord and surrounded by those you have sent on ahead. You will be missed.
