I meet Mickey when she was a substitute in SPASD and through the years we would bumped into one another about town and stop to chat. Her smile, wonderful laugh, and warm welcome drew people to her. Her conversations on many subject matters were always filled with interesting information and knowledge. My last encounter with Mickey was last fall when I was in her apartment at "The Gardens". I was there as a poll worker helping with absentee ballots. I walked in and she smiled and warmly greeted me with,"Hi, Jill!" as if we had just seen each other the day before. It was a wonderful encounter that I will continue to cherish. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Jill Zimmerman, Sun Prairie, WI

From the moment I met Mickey I felt as if I had known her my whole life. She just had that way with people...a wonderful way of finding something you had in common and making you feel comfortable. We will miss her laugh and genuine kindness. Mickey was more than a friend, she was like family to us. On behalf of my family, we extend our condolences to her children and grandchildren. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Mickey at ShopKo. She was such a wonderful person and all of her regular customers looked forward to seeing her in the mornings. On the off chance that she was not there, they asked about her. She was a joy to work with. I stayed in touch with Mickey after we both left ShopKo, and we exchanged Mickey Mouse items from time to time as I used to collect MM. My thoughts and prayers are with Mickey's loved ones during this time, although I can't help but take some comfort in knowing she is once again with Bob.

I went to Northside Elementary School and Remember "Mrs. Colwell" there. Later, after I graduated, my first "seasonal" job was at Wisconsin Cheeseman, where I would meet up with "Mickey" once again and she would make me smile and make me feel welcome, as my friend had a different lunch hour than I did. Later I met up with "Mickey" again at Shopko East Towne where I would pick up perscriptions and if I would have anything else to buy, I would go through "Mickey's" lane to buy it. She would make me laugh and we would ask how each other were doing. I am very sorry for the Family's loss! She was a wonderful woman, when I knew her and I wish I had known her better!

Curt and family, just a note to say how sorry I am for your loss. I always liked your mom as a substitute teacher. And it was nice to run into her at Shopko. She was a great lady. God Bless!

I was so sorry to learn of Mickey's passing. I enjoyed getting to know her when we served together on the Sun Prairie Museum Board. My sympathy and prayers go out to Mickey's family.

When Bob & Mickey moved to the Columbus Str. neighborhood, I was their babysitter for Lynette & Curt starting in 1967 and through my high school years. Mickey kept a beautiful garden. She is now with her loving dancing partner in heaven; her & Bob. Not only was I their neighbor on Columbus Str., but also at Regency Place a Senior Living Apt. complex in Sun Prairie. One day, I will be laid to rest at Sacred Hearts Cemetery as headstone neighbors with Bob & Mickey. Mickey, if you had a wish on earth; it will come true in Heaven. God bless, and forever neighbors, Joy Reininger Sun Prairie
