Michael Jason Yunker, age 41, passed away on Monday March 26, 2012, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on November 19, 1970, in Madison and was the son of Ray Yunker and Michelle Yunker. He married Sheila Wilberding on July 13, 2002 at St Alberts Catholic Church. Michael graduated from DeForest High School in 1988 and UW Madison Wisconsin in History in 1993. He worked for Yunker Real Estate and Development Companies and most recently was a Realtor for Keller-Williams.
He is survived by his wife Sheila and son Payton, his parents Ray Yunker of Cape Coral, Fl. And Michelle Yunker of Silver Springs, Fl; two brothers, Raymond (Bridgit) Yunker, Steve Yunker both of Madison, niece and nephew Griffin and Sedra, his mother and father-in-laws David and Shirley Wilberding of Mt. Horeb; three sisters-in-law, Michelle (Joe) Koberstein of Verona, Karla (Jeff) Garsky of Johnson Creek, Debbie (Dean) Smith of Stoughton, one brother-in-law, Ronald (Becky) Wilberding of Jessup, Iowa and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Terrence Connors will preside. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made for his son Payton.
