Marie B. Shea, age 78, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Karmenta Center in Madison. She was born on March 3, 1936 in Madison and was the daughter of Robert and Adelaide (Schwenker) Weeks. She married Maurice Shea on July 27, 1967 in Kewaskum. Marie graduated from Edgewood High School and The U.W. Madison. She was proud of her Madison background, and fondly remembered growing up near Camp Randall Stadium and working at Mickey's Dairy Bar. In her younger years, she led an active lifestyle, enjoying tennis, softball, swimming, and other activities. She loved language, and in later years was an avid crossword puzzler and reader, appreciating fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
She is survived by her son Gordon (Suzanne) Shea; 2 grandchildren Aidan and Madeline all of Sun Prairie; a sister Patricia Hopkins of Rockton, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 2 brothers Glenn and Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p. m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, with Father Steve Petrica presiding. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.
