Margaret E. Tuschen age 89, died on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Columbus Nursing Home. She was born on February 18, 1925, in Sun Prairie to Joseph and Lena (Schernecker) Gmeinder. She was married to Clarence W. Tuschen on May 24, 1944 in Marshall. He preceded her in death in 1964.
Margaret worked at the Goodyear Hose Plant in Sun Prairie for 20 years. She was also a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Joseph's Parish.
Margaret is survived by 4 sons, Jim (Carol), Kenneth (Debra), David (Karen) and Ray (Karen); 5 daughters Shirley (Steve) Breunig, Betty (Bob) Rademacher, Lois (Rick) Lischka, Linda (Greg) Parker, and Kathy (Brian) Virgin; 26 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Morrow and Marian Stich and a brother Fred (Marian) Gmeinder
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 4 brothers, Victor, Norbert, Edwin and Bernard; a sister Catherine Trapp; a great grandson Michael Bruenig and a daughter-in-law Ellie Tuschen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1935 County Highway V in East Bristol. Father Robert Butz and Father Steve Kortendick will preside. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers a blood or American Red Cross donation can be made. The family gratefully would like to thank Dr. Amy Stella, all the nurses on 8 Atrium, 9 Tower, and 6 Tower at Meriter Hospital, the entire staff at Columbus Nursing Home for their compassionate care of our mother. Thank you also to Fr. Rob and Fr. Steve for their visits and prayers.
