Margaret D. Riley, age 86, passed on peacefully to heaven on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was a caring, loving mother, wife and friend and will be greatly missed. She was born December 4, 1928, in Ashland, WI and was the daughter of George and Anna (Marcinko) Trubachik. Margaret was a member of the following community service efforts, Catholic Relief Services, Crystal Knights of Columbus 3656 Auxiliary and St. Anne's Women's Society. Margaret and her husband have been strong Pro-Life advocates for both young and old.
She is survived by her husband, James F. Riley, Sr.; daughter, Anne M. Riley, Robbinsdale, MN; son, James F. Riley, Jr., Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Kathy R. (Harlan) Riley-Daudt, Brooklyn Center, MN; grandson Joshua N. Daudt; granddaughter Sarah A. Daudt, Brooklyn Center, MN and a sister Agnes Comte.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope, MN. Memorials may be made to Sacred Hearts School Endowment Fund. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, hospice staff, Monsignor Duane, and those that assisted during the final moments prior to her death.
