Lorna L. Bruce, devoted partner and special sister went peacefully to be with the angels on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Lorna was born in Richland Center to Oscar and Mary (Kolash) Bruce on March 5, 1947.
Lorna loved her Packers, motorcycle rides with Jeff, and tending her houseplants. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965. She worked for the State of Wisconsin in the Department of Workforce Development for 44 years.
Lorna is survived by her devoted partner of 41 years, Jeff Coy; four sisters, Ellen (Sid) Schroeder of Reedsburg, Arlene (Don) Obert of Lafarge, Karen Benson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Elaine (Otto) Lowrey of Hillsboro; Jeff's father Marvin (Fran) Coy of Cambridge; Jeff's sister Gloria (Dennis) Vergenz of Fort Atkinson; three brothers, Chuck (Linda) Coy of Oregon, Melvin Coy of Fort Atkinson, and Marlin Coy of Jefferson; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorna was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Bruce; one niece Heidi Sooy; and a great-niece, Natalie Glynn; Jeff's Mother Opal Coy; and Jeff's sister Patricia Labrosse.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. Sun Prairie. Pastor Jason Kirkpatrick will preside. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the Funeral Home.
