Loretta R. Hoepker, age 97 died on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center. She was born on November 15, 1913 in the Town of Sun Prairie and was the daughter of Louis and Rose (Blaschka) Drunasky. She was a lifelong Sun Prairie resident. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1932 and Madison Business School in 1933. She married George Hoepker On December 28, 1935 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. They farmed for many years and then moved to Sun Prairie. Loretta worked for the Bank of Sun Prairie for over 20 years. They enjoyed winters in Texas, playing cards, dancing, bingo and being with family and friends. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Church, Lady Foresters, St. Ann’s Council of Catholic Women and the Colonial Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Bernie) Quinn of Northfield, MN. A daughter-in-law, Norma Oates of Sun Prairie; a granddaughter Debi Hoepker of England; grandsons, David (Pam) Hoepker of Deerfield, Jason (Emily) Quinn of Rosemont, MN; great grandchildren, Andy Hoepker of Deerfield, Rhianna Campbell of Sun Prairie, Caden, Carter and Colton Quinn of Rosemont, MN; many nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law Helen Hoepker of Sun Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her husband George, a son Paul; a daughter Susan Hoepker Tucker; a grandson Andrew Hoepker; a granddaughter Tammy Tucker; an infant baby sister and 2 brothers, Louis (Charlotte) Drunasky and Ernest (Hattie) Drunasky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Father John Putzer presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church on Friday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts School Endowment Fund.
