Lola Elaine Sparby, age 88, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at Columbus Nursing Home. She was born on June 16, 1925, in Plainfield and was the daughter of Harold and Floy (Margeson) Clark. She married Blaine Sparby on June 22, 1944. She worked as a clerk for the Wisconsin State Patrol for many years. Lola was a member of North Windsor United Methodist Church where she was the head of the craft club. “She could make anything out of anything.”
She is survived by her 3 children, Butch (Fran) Sparby of Waunakee, Linda Gohre of Columbus, Cindy (Kevin) Meixner of DeForest ; adopted daughter Helen Ballweg of St. Petersburg, FL; 9 grandchildren, Bobby, Dawn, Todd, Tracy, Stacie, Heather, Kristi, Shane and Jolene; 18 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Charlotte Walker, Betty Footit, and Della Footit; and a sister in law Ruth Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband Blaine; her parents; 2 brothers Bill and Merle Clark; and a sister Janice Stevens.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at North Windsor United Methodist Church, 7523 S. Meixner Rd. in DeForest. Reverend Sue Lewan will officiate. Burial will be at North Windsor Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
