Lois Barman, age 90, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at home. She was born on April 4, 1933 in Perry Township to Peter and Bernadine (Brings) Haag. She married Jerome Barman on May 22, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in East Bristol. She worked the family farm with her husband for most of her life.

Lois is survived by: her children; Bonnie (Russ) Jorstad of Edgerton, Ronald (Deborah) of DeForest, Marie (Neil) Larson of Madison, Duane (Miel) of Sun Prairie, Rita (Jeff) Hicks of Sun Prairie, Bill (Jeni) of Sun Prairie; 11 grandchildren Erik Jorstad, Ben (Kayla) Barman, Casey (Elizabeth) Barman, Chad Barman, Drew Barman, Karissa Barman, Jocelyn (Drew) Barman, Kelsey (Evan) Flood, Jessica(Christian) Frusolone , Cory (Nora) Barman, Whitley (Connor) Barman; great grandchildren, Ethan, Barrett, Connor, Nolan, Henry, and Mason; brother, Jerry (Bev) Haag; sister, Leta Maly; and sister-in-law Suze Haag.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerome in 2008, a son Kenneth; sister, Frances Yelk; and brother, Cletus Haag.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Alberts Drive in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
