Linda I. Ankomeus, age 72 left this world peacefully entering into eternal life after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on January 23, 2016 at UW Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1943 in Madison, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Bausch) Reed. She grew up in Cassville, lived and worked in Dubuque, Iowa and Madison, Wisconsin. Married to Ron Ankomeus for 34 years and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. Linda returned to the Madison area in 2003. Linda had a great love for her dogs and cats, for NASCAR racing and Tony Stewart and her Tattoos! She was grateful everyday for God's love and blessings and the love and prayers of her family and friends. Linda is survived by her niece Tonya Vosberg and family, her nephew Brian Hammill and family, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and brother-in-law, Dave Sauk. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy, Mary Kay and LuAnn, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and her good friend, Lynn. A special thank you to Linda's excellent caregivers Chris, Melissa, and the doctors and nurses at UW Hospital. A Funeral Mass at St. Charles in Cassville and burial of her cremains will be held at a later date. Rest in peace Linda, safely home in Heaven.
