I was privileged to work with Ken at American Family over the five years I was there. I learned so much from him and will always be grateful not only for the great learning and collaboration ... but the great friendship we developed. He was a very special man with a BIG heart, sharp mind and warm smile. I will miss my friend who enriched my life with so many great conversations and numerous gestures of kindness. May God comfort Lonny and all those who are grieving now ... My prayers are with you.

Ken was the best of friends. I learned so much about so many places in the world without even visiting them through listening to his stories of their history and his description of the land and their people that he came to know on his visits. I have never traveled outside of the USA but I feel throughout the 10 years I knew Ken, I had traveled extensively. He was a very kind man and I do not remember him ever being anything but that way. He will be missed and remembered by me. I am a better person for having known him.

"Coworker" goes way back though to when I started at Oscar Mayer in 1974 and met Ken. He was my trainer and I consider it my good fortune to have been tutored by his great heart, mind and presence. What a smile! The world was better with him in it.
