Kenneth A. Renz, age 73 passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. Kenneth A. Renz, age 73 passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Sun Prairie and was the son of Leonard and Florence (Mautz) Renz. He married Donna Schley on April 16, 1977 in Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army. Ken drove semi for Gateway Transportation and Indianhead Fuel Company. After retirement he worked for the Town of Burke. He enjoyed playing Euchre, driving tractors especially with granddaughter Kenna, and fishing with grandson Hunter.
He is survived by his wife Donna; 7 children, Linda (Robert Jr.) Lauersdorf of Gilman, Kelly (Frank) Walterscheit of Sun Prairie, Nancy (Scott) Brys of Sussex, Cindy (Wayne) Jesberger of Farmington, MN, David (Lynn) Renz of Marshall, Jim (Holly) Renz of Brainerd, MN, Debi (Randy) Simon of Hartford and many grandchildren and great grandchildren;
3 brothers, Wayne Renz of Sun Prairie, Rodney (Karen) Renz of Sun Prairie, Thomas (Elizabeth) Renz of Mercer, 3 sisters, Catherine (Robert) Pfaff of Sun Prairie Carol (Steve) Jaeckel of Madison, Sandy (Dan) Lothe of Sun Prairie and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws.
A celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare Inc. or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
