Kenneth E. Link, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Meriter Hospital in Madison after a short illness. He was born in Columbus on July 28, 1935 and was the son of Oscar and Emma (Starker) Link. He farmed in the town of Hampden on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 in Germany. Ken worked for over 30 years for Cenex/Landmark Coop until his retirement. He was an avid race car fan and attended many Daytona 500's.
He is survived by the love of his life, Yvonne Ninneman of Stoughton and her children, Gale (Jim) Pandow of Brodhead, Walter Ninneman of Cottage Grove, Corrine Ninneman of Stoughton, a granddaughter Kacie (Colin) Fosdal of Stoughton; 2 sisters, Virginia (Edgar) Rehfeldt of Columbus, Monica (Wayne) Gannon of DeForest; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol with Father Rob Butz and Monsignor Gerald Healy presiding. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday.
