Kenneth J. Miller, age 83, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at his home in Sun Prairie. He was born on March 1, 1934 in the Town of Rantoul, WI to the late Lenard and Frieda (Wollersheim) Miller. On July 25, 1953, Ken married the love of his life Maureen Reimer. He is survived by her and their seven children.
Ken was a farmer in his early years, and worked for the city of Two Rivers before moving to Sun Prairie 44 years ago. He worked for Hanley's Hardware Hank and Kaltenberg Seed Company before partnering with his son in their trucking business RP Miller Transport. Ken loved his family and enjoyed camping, and traveling.
During Ken and Maureen's 64 happy years together they were blessed with and raised 7 loving children (including 1 set of twins), Karen (Paul) Hermanson, Kathy Durant, Pattie (Randy) Hatt, Barb (John) Mortimer, Donna (Dennis) Inderdahl, Robert (Kristi) Miller, and Peggy Sue Langer; 12 grandchildren, Ariane Davis, Karene (Andy) Cary, Scott (Saretta) Hatt, Melissa (Chad) Ditsworth, Dawn Suchomel, Hunter Mortimer, Angela (Damian) Stanton, Nicholas, Jenn and Krista Inderdahl, Bryson and Kaylin Langer; 11 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Jarod, Emmett, Kara, Joey, Hailey, Riley, Emma, Zaliana, Kaverick, and Huxley; 1 sister Darlene Markusen; 1 sister-in-law Marlene Miller; brothers-in-law Gale Reimer, and David (Joan) Reimer; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Donald; father and mother-in-law Paul and Irene Reimer; brothers and sisters-in-law Marvin Reimer, Ruth and Ben Sielski, Rev. Elroy Reimer, Rev. Ronald Reimer, Charlene Reimer, Donna Reimer and many aunts and uncles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Friday.
