Kathryn A. Meister, age 69, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Oak Park Place in Madison after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born on January 27, 1944 in Sturgeon Bay and was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Schmitt) Eickelberg. She graduated from U.W. Stout in 1969 and married Paul Meister on August 9, 1969 in Sturgeon Bay. Kay touched many lives through her arts, crafts, sewing projects and volunteer work in the Sun Prairie area.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; a son David; a daughter Janet all of Madison; A brother William Eickelberg of Sturgeon Bay; a sister Mary (Steve) Mueller of McFarland and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt will preside. Burial will be in the Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Parkinson's Research or Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
