Kate Lynn Qualey, age 22, died unexpectedly on March 6, 2013. She was born on December 22, 1990 in Madison. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 2009. Kate was so special, she was a beautiful, caring and loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin. Kate loved her family dearly and always looked forward to the next family gathering. Our dear sweet Kate will be missed forever. Our hearts are broken, we loved her so much.
She is survived by her mother, Carrie (Cary) Hazard; a brother, Sean Qualey; maternal grandparents, James and Sharon Mogden; step father, step siblings; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven Qualey and paternal grandparents, Howard and Lorriane Qualey.
Kate had a special place in her heart for pets Bizkit and Wiskie. Donations may be made to the Dane County Humane Society. The family held a private funeral service.

I will never forget how we shared the pregnancy of our girls Kate and Ariana and how they were born 2 days apart, the birthday partys they shared together; they even stayed connected on facebook through the years. Kate was my little back yard buddy when she was 11 and would sit and talk with me and watch & play with Blaze when he was little and then became Blaze & Wyatts favorite babysitter.
