I cannot believe this is true. I am so sorry for your loss. Kate was such a special and amazing person. I will never forget the times I spent with her snowboarding and on the lake and just hanging out with her and Sean. Carrie, you were the best mother Kate could've had; you did everything for her and I know Kate knew that. And Sean you were the best brother she could have had. And she had the best grandparents too. Your family is in mine and my families thoughts and prayers, I am so sorry.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Though Kate and I weren't close, we went to high school together and were on poms together for a year, and were good friends then. I am truly sorry for your loss, Kate was so fun to be around. She literally made me laugh with everything she said. This is so sad but now whatever she was struggling with is over and she is at peace. May you find strength through this difficult time.

Dear Carrie and family: I have no wise and profound words to comfort you and no philosophies to answer why. I cannot imagine your pain. I am so so sorry for the loss of your beautiful precious daughter. How can it be possible that tragedy strikes your family again? Know that I am thinking of you (as I so often do) and that I am praying for God's comforting hands to rest upon your shoulders. Love and prayers.......

Carrie: I find it impossible to express how sorry I am for the loss of Kate. There are no words; none. I will never forget how we shared the pregnancy of our girls Kate and Ariana and how they were born 2 days apart, the birthday partys they shared together; they even stayed connected on facebook through the years. I am here for you dear old friend; I will do anything for you; anything at all. Please let me know when you will be ok with a visit from me I really want to see you when you are ready for it. I love you dear friend; time passes and people drift apart but our bond will never be broken we shared so many hard times and so many laughs. I am saying prayers for you and your family. Alex, Austin and Ariana send their thoughts and prayers as well. hugs Kelly

I did not know Kate but my heart goes out to the family. We lost our son, Steve, in Sept, 2011, also a Sun Prairie family. I know the pain firsthand and know the long journey you have ahead. Life does go on, what choice do we have, and you will make it. Our thoughts are with you.......Linda & Doug Gooch

You were one of the truest friends I had, even if we fought you were always there the second I needed you and ill never forget that. I regret every day I didn't try to help you but now I know your struggle is over. Ill always love you, you were the greatest "sister"/bestfriend I ever could've asked for and ill miss you so much.

Our hearts broke as we heard this terrible news. Kate was my little back yard buddy when she was 11 and would sit and talk with me and watch & play with Blaze when he was little and then became Blaze & Wyatts favorite babysitter. I watched her grow from a little girl to beautiful young lady. I am so glad I ran into her just a few months back and was so nice to talk to her. We will miss you dear!

She was so headstrong and individualistic. I really admired that about her. This is an inconceivable tragedy, but I find solace in thinking she doesn't have to fight any longer and she can be at peace with her father. We once visited his grave site in middle school and she told me he was taken away from her too early. My dearest Kate, you were taken away from all of us much too early. I freaking love you kid.

Kate has always been a beautiful, genuine individual both inside and out. She was a wonderful friend; loyal, supportive and sincerely caring. She had a huge heart, and frequently put others ahead of herself. Kate, you are loved and you will be so greatly missed. I really cannot believe you are gone... I will always remember the many ways you have positively touched my life. Your family and loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. May your soul rest peacefully. xo
