Joann E. Radlund, age 71, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was born in the Town of Kekoskee on January 21, 1940 and was the daughter of Milton and Adeline (Hartwig) Reible. She married Harry “Bud” Radlund in Milwaukee on June 6, 1966. Mom was a lover of all things and all animals. Her patience and love for her family will carry on in all our hearts. “That’s alright” was her favorite saying in regards to any obstacle she met. She knew with the Lord’s direction it would all work itself out. Mom was an avid Packer and Badger fan. She spent numerous summers traveling with Bud on their motorcycle. Her faith will always be admired by her family and friends. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bud; her dog, Sir Winston; her 2 sons, Jay (friend Jamie), Corey (Erica) grandchildren, Durlin, Grace, April, Lindsey (Scott), Nick (Heidi); a sister Carol (Leon) Schraufnagel; brother and sister-in-law, Lou and Denajene Hansen, nieces, nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Brett.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie with Pastor Bernt Tweit presiding. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, March 19. The family would like to thank Dr. Anne Traynor and staff at the U.W. Cancer Centers for their wonderful care in her battle and Dr. Edwards and staff at U.W. Health Sun Prairie. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial funds are being established. Thank you, mom for showing us faith, patience and love for your boys. We will be alright!!!!
