Jo Ann Godwin, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Kindred Hearts in Sun Prairie. She was born in Madison on January 20, 1939 and was the daughter of George and Bessie (Anderson) Brown. Jo Ann worked for many years for the State of Wisconsin. She was a member of the Christ Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her 2 children, Jennifer (Dale) Michaels of Greenville, S.C., Eric (Sheree') Godwin of Madison; 7 grandchildren, Remick, Austin, Robin and Olivia Michaels, Emily, Henry and Hannah Godwin.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; Adena Mabie, Marcella Weisensel, Elaine Braley and a brother Eugene Brown.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Pastor Rick Bloom will preside. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison.
