Jerome M. Butler, age 89 died on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center He was born on April 22, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland and was the son of Jerome and Mary (Neun) Butler. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe from 1944 to 1946. He married Elise Charlton on August 26, 1951. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master's Degree from Syracuse University. Jerome worked for 30 years for General Electric Co. He was a Mason-Lodge 152 in Maryland. His favorite pastime was playing bridge.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Karen Butler of Arlington, VA and Ellen (David) LaWall of Sun Prairie; two grandchildren Scott and Jennifer LaWall and her husband Steven Von Gerlachter .
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Elise.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie with Rev. Jean Ehnert Nicholas presiding. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home on Saturday.
