I am sad to hear of Jerry (Mr. Young's) passing. I was a student of his and a classmate of Mike's. I took advanced classes from J2Y, and as result slid right into Calculus at UW without a problem. He made a tough subject fun, and to this day I still love math, in part because of him. RIP.

I was high school classmate and Jerry & I played alot of ping pong in our. attic. He was a person of high integrity . We had alot of good times together. We need more people of his principles. I am sorry I did not know of his passing. God Bless his family. Don Pohl

My sympathy to Jerry's family and staff at Pineview. I came to know Jerry as a hospice volunteer. My special memory of him was a visit I had recently. He was enjoying a piece of his birthday cake on the day after his day. I wished him a Happy Birthday. Then, he gave me a smile and a wink! Peace be with all of Jerry's family and friends.

Just a note to say that your dad, even in the midst of his struggles and illness, was a gentleman and a pleasure to have known and cared for. His legacy shines on through you, his children, in the kindnesses you showed us as we did so. It was a privledge to know him. My prayers go out to you.

I had Mr. Young for 3 years at Sun Prairie. He was a tough teacher but a great man. I learned so much from him and fondly remember him walking the halls in the morning. I am sorry to hear of his passing but know that he will always live in the hearts of many.
