Jared Thomas Fredrick Alery of Issaquah, WA unexpectedly died on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023. He was 29 years of age.
Jared was born on October 2nd, 1993 in Stevens Point, WI, the son of David and Lisa Alery. He was raised in Stevens Point and attended Pacelli Catholic Schools from K – 12. Upon graduation, he focused his passion at WyoTech in Laramie, WY and earned his Associates Degree in Advanced Diesel and Business Management.
Graduating at the top of his class with highest honors and perfect attendance, he moved to Issaquah, WA and began his career with NC Machinery. He started as a Diesel Technician in the Rental Equipment arena, but quickly outgrew that role and transitioned up to Heavy Equipment. His ultimate goal was to dive into the Marine Division, which he achieved and excelled at these past five years. The Marine Division took him on adventures around the world to Tahiti, Hawaii, Alaska, Gulf Shores. Work included the Department of Defense, the Navy and Army, tug boats operators and many private vessels. He was an expert in his field and highly respected and regarded amongst his co-workers and clientele.
Throughout his life, Jared was an avid adventurer and go-getter. He achieved the highest award in Boy Scouts of America, the Eagle Scout, with Troop 298. Anything with wheels, dirt bike, motorcycle, ATV, Jeep or a diesel engine was his calling. After a long day riding around in the sand dunes of Eastern WA with friends, he could be found enjoying a campfire with a cold New Glarus Spotted Cow and a bag of WI cheese curds.
Survivors include his parents, David and Lisa Alery (Sun Prairie, WI) and sister, Sydney Alery (Newport Beach, CA).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 16th, 2023 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 229 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, WI. Visitation is from 9–11am at the church. Burial at Sacred Hearts Cemetery followed by a luncheon back at the church’s Gathering Room. Jared’s Celebration of Life will continue at the Round Table 1611 N. Bristol St. Sun Prairie, from 2:30-5:30 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, the Jared TF Alery Vocations Trust was established to provide scholarships in Vocational Trades. Donations can be sent to: 1410 Broadway Dr. Sun Prairie, WI 53590-8914

Dave, Lisa and Sydney, I can't imagine what you are going through and there are no words that to say to bring you the comfort you need. But, we are praying and thinking of you all in this horrible time. Jared's incredible mark on this world and the people he impacted will not be forgotten. His success was truly inspiring.

Our whole family is shocked and devastated at this news. Jared is the kindest and gentlest soul we have had the pleasure to know. He watched out for Tom’s younger sister when the rest of the scouts would get going a bit wild. He would stop in to visit by me when he came home over Christmas break when I was home alone, and this was many years after he had moved out west. I always appreciated his company, and talking with him about life. I am deeply going to miss him. My sincerest condolences to Dave, Lisa, and Sydney.

The love and joy your son brought to everyone will never be forgotten. We are sending thoughts and prayers to your family.

Jared was a great student at Pacelli. He was always willing to help and often had a smile on his face.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. His achievements were just amazing. God now has a strong warrier upthere in heaven.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Jared was a math student of mine at Pacelli Catholic High School. What an amazing young man. I enjoyed his sense of humor and the huge grin on his face. He talked about his 'lil sis' with the love of a big brother.

It was a really pleasure to meet Jared, he was always willing to help everyone who need it, he was so smart! One time I was having issues with my computer and after struggling for a while I asked him if he could help me, he sat at my desk, did his magic and I asked- what you did? , He replied: I don’t know but I fixed it! (With a big smile on his face). It’s heartbreaking for us in the office to think that he’s no more, but I know that someone that we care about and departs this earth never truly leaves , for they are still alive in our minds and hearts, through us they live on. Words cannot express my condolences.

Oh, Jared. What an absolute cool guy, haha. This man did so many extraordinary things for others. We were out on a big group camp trip in central Washington. My dad showed up, which was a little out of character for him. He was out of health points by that time and we thought it would be his last. Jared befriended him for a couple days, learning all the things my dad would dispense about life and working at Boeing for 30 years. I'll be damned, the next day Jared asked me to take his own Jeep so I could spend some time with Dad exploring the hills on that Saturday. Never asked for anyting in return except for more stories from him, hahahaha. What hurts the most about his loss is that gentle, caring wisdom that he convayed. It's not that he knew it all yet, but he had the knoledge to stop and listen. He is so sorely missed. If I saw even 1 percent of his care and love of his family, I feel truly blessed. Rest in peace, you good old soul. And thank you for blessing my family in thier last years, you went out of your way on many occasions, you did that selflessly.

Praying that God holds your family in the palm of His hand, to give you the comfort and support that is needed at this time.

My Condolences - worked with Jared when he first started here at NC Power Systems Truck sevice- Worked extremely well on second shift under my supervison - learned well and fast - transfered over to the Marine Department and excelled as a technician. I worked with Jared in Seattle for many years. He was always around with a laugh and a smile with his goofy attitude. Just a really good guy in general. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

I was one of Jared’s supervisors. I always told the techs that if you’re not sure of something, don’t be afraid to ask and we can figure out the issue at hand. Not very often, but on a couple of occasions he did call or text me and together figured out the problem. I would laugh and tell him “see the old man still knows and remembers a few things”! I enjoyed having him around and every now and then I would say to him “let me tell you an old timer story” and he would sit down and listen to me. Over the years he would call me and say, do you remember when you told me about such and such? He ran across the same problem and remembered my story and was able to fix it . That always put a smile on my face. I will miss him!

I'm grateful to have met Jared when he moved years ago. He was always up for adventure and always there to help. We shared bonfires, camping trips and ATV rides thought-out the years and turned plenty of wrenches together. Being in construction, he would always share when he would see some of my equipment in the shop, and similarly I would always tell him when I saw their equipment on the jobsite. He was a truly a one of a kind person and will be missed immensely. I am truly glad to have had his friendship and so many memories with him. The world will truly not be the same without him.

Jared always lived to the fullest, he was never too busy to drive hours on a moments notice to rescue a friend with a stranded motorcycle or enjoy the company of friends. I’ll cherish all the great time together, whether it was camping and digging out my stuck vehicle or crossing paths at SeaTac on his way to save a business’ equipment across the continent. Jared was too good for this world and I can only hope to see him in the next.

If your brother is as amazing as you are then I wish I could’ve met him. I’m so sorry for your loss Sydney.

While I never knew you Jared, your sister is very dear to me and I am heartbroken at her loss. I am so sorry at a life gone way too soon.

I met Jared shortly after he came to Washington through mutual gearhead friends. Myself, I grew up on a farm in Eastern WA and found that we had a shared passion for equipment, diesels, trains, & ducks of all things. I will forever think of him when I see a duck and remember his excitement over something so benign. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
