Janet F. Suchomel, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018at Hyland Crossing in Sun Prairie. Janet F. Suchomel, age 90, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018at Hyland Crossing in Sun Prairie. She was born on January 16, 1928 in Columbia County and was the daughter of Joseph and Celia (Haberman) Weisman. She married Rudy Suchomel on June 4, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa. They were married for 70 years. Janet worked for many years for the Wisconsin Cheeseman, loved going to watch Rudy play softball for 64 years and then watching her children and grandchildren play softball, soccer and musical instruments. She was so proud of her flower bed, you couldn't miss it driving down County N going in to town. She also enjoyed taking care of different kind of plants
She is survived her children, Rudy (Sandy) of Pardeeville, John, Sun Prairie, Bonnie (Dennis) Nagel, Sun Prairie, Rick of Madison; grandchildren Bradley, Rhonda, Nick, Mike, Lisa, Kelly, Tina and Barry; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Vernon (Carol), Sun Prairie; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy; daughter Julie; son Fritz; her parents; daughters-in-law Cindy and Debbie; grandsons, John Jr., Joe and Tim; brother Merlin (Jeanette) Weisman and a sister Verna (Alex) Klubertanz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive in Sun Prairie. Father Douglas Dushack will preside. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Friday. A special thank you to Hyland Park/Crossings and Agrace Hospice Care for their wonderful care.
