Janet L. Hoiby, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on March 16, 1937 in Milford and was the daughter of Arnold and Edna (Kelch) Ottow. She married Clifford Hoiby on March 24, 1956. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Janet worked a wide variety of jobs mostly Gaylord Catering. She enjoyed casinos, arcades, games, baking and entertaining.

She is survived by two daughters Debbie (James) Zamzow of Merrimac, and Gail (Steven) Lancaster of Argyle; one son Michael (Cari Anne) Hoiby of Sun Prairie; 10 grandchildren Nathaniel “Sam”, Derrick, Jason, Brandon, Emma, Zach “Ole”, Kevin (Ashley), Cole (Hanna), Sara, and Emily; two great grandchildren Julian and Olivia; a sister Hazel (Harvey) Dempski of Port Charlotte, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Lee Ottow Jr.; and a Beagle Honeyface Rags. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Agrace HospiceCare and Hyland Park Assisted Living for the care and support they provided.
