When my twin daughters were very young, Uncle Hank shared his talents when he made doll cradles for them. They were beautiful and used for many years before being passed on to our youngest daughter. We can learn from this--to share our talents, not protect them. In doing so, we become wealthy.

That was a fun story about your Girl Scout Troop, Debbie. I had no idea! I do remember Uncle Hank being quite a dancer. I thought he was awful silly for being a grown up! "To live on in the hearts of others is not to die." Thomas Campbell

I might add that I really enjoyed his link to music. He could play, to my knowledge, the organ and piano by ear. He had, I thought a great voice and I never tired of his kidding and singing. A heart of a musician.

Among many good memories I have one I believe to be unique: In the early 70's (Really that long ago!). My senior Girl Scout troop camped and hiked in the SandHill Wildlife area near Steven's Point, WI. Aunt Marie and Uncle Hank lived in Plover, WI nearby. Some how my whole troop of 20 + girls and leaders ended up in the living room and kitchen of Hank & Marie eating a home cooked breakfast that warmed our hearts and stomachs. Uncle Hank was so pumped to be cooking and serving us. It was great!

To all of you - I hope you can all look back on all of the wonderful memories you have of your Dad. I enjoyed being around all of you when I was younger and have some good memories of those times. Unfortunately, I can't make the service. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Take care, Teri Hecker Jim & Katie Matykowski's daughter
