Harland A. Weisensel, age 90 died on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Sun Prairie Health Care Center. He was born on July 22, 1924, in the Town of Sun Prairie to Harold and Annetta (Benisch) Weisensel. Harland married Arlene Schmitt on September 17, 1946, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. He was a lifelong farmer in the Sun Prairie area. He was also a lifetime member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife Arlene; 3 sons, Roger (Rebecca) of Sun Prairie, Greg of Madison, and Ray (Kathy) of Sun Prairie; 1 daughter, Veronica (Frank) Jesberger of Sun Prairie; daughter-in-law Kay Weisensel of Marshall; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother Robert W. (Elaine) Weisensel of Sun Prairie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son Howard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Harland's family would like to thank the staff at Sun Prairie Health Care Center for the outstanding care they provided. Memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Building and Grounds Fund.
