My deepest condolences to the Klundt family. I remember coming to play at the house with Suzie when we were kids. Mrs. Klundt (I didn't know her name was Gretchen - we were raised to call everyone Mrs. and Mr.) was always so kind to me.
Joan Anderson left a message on January 12, 2015:
You 4 moved into a duplex we owned on Boyd. Ave. and it was a happy time for us to have such a sweet family next door and playmates for my 2 girls. Your daughter must have been a baby(?) as I don't remember her, but Shane and Amy would play together in our yards and shared basements. Cliff would give us expired goodies. It was so nice having you for neighbors. I am so sorry for your loss as I remember Gretchen as such a sweet person. Joan Vaughan Anderson

Dear Cliff, Shane, Susie and families, We are so very sorry to hear the sad news. Your wife / mom / grandma was such a special, caring person. She always talked of her family and was so proud of every one of you and loved you very much. We will always remember her smiling face and the many good times we had and will miss her dearly. Regretfully, we are unable to celebrate her life with you today in Sun Prairie, but she and all of you are on our minds. May your many fond memories help heal your hearts and ease the pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and always. With our sincerest sympathy, Pat & Mike Nitka

Sonja (Van Deuren) Jacobson left a message on January 8, 2015:
Gretchen was my Godmother and a wonderful Auntie! She was responsible for many happy family gatherings at the Klundt home, where she made all feel welcome. She put God and her family first, and could always be counted on to help when someone needed it. During a lenghty illness I had over 15 years ago, she made an extra effort to support and encourage me through a long year of treatments. Gretchen had a great sense of humor and paid attention to the details because she cared. Gretchen was good at making people feel special and giving them her full attention. When I think of her, I picture her just as her photo shows...with that beautiful smile; I think that smile was her way of radiating love. She will be missed terribly. Sonja (Van Deuren) Jacobson
