Gladys E. Grove, age 88, died on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Faith Living Center in Sun Prairie. She was born March 18, 1924 in Milwaukee and was the daughter of Clarence and Viola (Spindler) Schulz. She married Harlan Grove on September 21, 1946 in Milwaukee. She worked for Drs. Behrend and Russell as a receptionist and worked many years for G.T.E. Gladys was an active member of The Spring Prairie Ladies Aide and the Sun Prairie American Legion Auxillary and was a past president.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan; a daughter, Kathleen (James) Secora of Hoffman Estates, IL; 2 sons Jeffery (Robin) of Bremerton, WA, Scott (Laurie) of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, Cheryl (Jonathan) Pearl, Steve (Beth) Secora, Jackie (Leonard) Wilson, Chris (Kathy) Grove, Gary Grove, Jamie Grove, Rachel Schenk, Nicolaus (Natalie) Schenk, Ben Grove, Anna Grove; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister Marguerite Eckl of Sarasota, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Ronald.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at SPRING PRAIRIE LUTHERAN CHURCH, Keyeser, on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with Pastor Sylvia Lee-Thompson presiding. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Wednesday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church.
