Gerald H. Miller age 86 passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Columbus Nursing Home. He was born on November 26, 1927 in Columbus to Jacob and Julia (Klein) Miller. Gerald was a longtime member of the St. Joseph's Church Choir and a lifelong dairy farmer. He was married to Bernice Kitzerow on August 21, 1954 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Gerald is survived by his wife Bernice; 4 children, Jean (Larry) Schwoerer of Sun Prairie, Thomas (Cheryl) Miller of Columbus, Gary (Michele) Miller of East Bristol, and Ron (Stephanie) Miller of East Bristol; 14 grandchildren, Holly (Eric), David (Rosemarie), Mandy (Rob), Stacy, Kera, Danielle (Mitch), Heather (Ryan), Alicia, Bethany, Angie, Jason, Miguel, Cindy and Julia; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Lydia (Syl) Ballweg of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters Verna Kettleson, Lucille Kraft and Marian Skalitzky; and 2 brothers Carl and Reinold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1935 County Highway V in East Bristol. Father Robert Butz will preside. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
