Georgia R. Kuhn, age 69, passed away on June 11, 2016 from cancer. She was born February 22, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to Carl A. and Elaine M. (Anderson) Johnson. Georgia and her family moved to Rockdale, Wisconsin in 1959 while she was in the 8th grade at Rockdale Graded School. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964 and moved to Madison, Wisconsin where she met her husband Ronald A. Kuhn. They were united in marriage on October 26, 1968. Georgia and Ron lived in many areas due to Ron's career with the Wisconsin State Patrol and Wisconsin State Lottery. In addition to her husband Ron, survivors include a son, Jeffrey (Koreen) Kuhn of Stoughton, and a daughter, Michelle (Jeffrey) Clark of Castaic, California, three grandchildren, Nicholas Howard Kuhn, Alyssa Ann Kuhn and Andrew Leal Clark.
She is also survived by a sister, Judy (Denny) Prochnow of Cambridge, a brother, Robert (Connie) Johnson of Mequon, her mother-in-law Julia Kuhn of Jackson and sisters-in-law Joan Kuhn of West Bend, Gale (James) Klumb of Jackson, and a brother-in-law Kenneth Kuhn of Fredonia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by both of her parents and a brother-in-law Howard Kuhn.
Georgia retired in 2004 from Oscar Mayer after 15 years of service as a Senior Administrator and Specification Analyst. Since retirement she and Ron enjoyed time traveling the area with friends from the MadCity Vettes Corvette Club, gardening, taking vacations, and spending time with her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
Georgia's family specifically wishes to thank the staff at Dean Healthcare and Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. Both helped Georgia and her family during this most difficult time.
