Gary P. Lee, age 75, died on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Park Falls. He was born on November 11, 1939 in the Town of Leeds to Ernest and Hazel (Ihland) Lee. He married Sandra Herrick on April 2, 1971.
Gary served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 then worked at Oscar Mayer until his retirement in 1997. He also farmed his and the family farm. Gary loved being up north especially the Park Falls area. Gary had a love for nature and its beauty. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a huge race fan. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Hazel; wife Sandy; 3 children, Trina (William) Byrne of Fall River, Andrea (Brett) Slaney of Oregon, and Jennifer Lee (Jason Meyer) of Sun Prairie; 3 grandchildren, Skyler Byrne, and Jake and Colton Thering; 1 brother Donald (June) Lee of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother Keith Lee.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Spring Prairie Lutheran Church in Keyeser with Pastor Sylvia Lee-Thompson presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the Church. Interment will be held in the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
