I meet Gale back in the 70's while working for Tv Clinic in Madison and was a great friend of Mike Schmidt who purchased the business from Gale Great man ..
Jason Grimm left a message on November 12, 2018:
Gale was a good friend of my grandmother, Ruth Grimm. I remember Gale as always being quiet, kind and caring. When I visited my grandmother, I would always see Gale as well. I found Gale the most talkative when I would ask him about his childhood and how things have changed in Sun Prairie through the years. One such memory he shared with me was the history of the building of what is now the Nitty Gritty. He had some fond memories of when this building was used as a canning company. This story, as well as some others, helped me understand and become closer to Gale. I just wish I would have asked more questions in the times we had.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dale Duckert left a message on November 9, 2018:
My sympathies to the family. I had a lot of contact with Gale in the '50's when I was into electronics. I bought my first tape recorder (reel to reel) from him. I also helped him install some TV antennas. I still have an old tube caddy that he was replacing and offered it to me.

I was so glad I had a chance to talk to him a year ago when we attended a memorial service for my father and other legion members that had passed that year.

I will all ways remember him as a good friend.

May God bless you in this time of sorrow.
